Donate to Opportunity Junction

The intent of Opportunity Junction's Mentor Program is to provide professional, educational, emotional support and assistance to job training participants who are entering the workforce. The Mentor Program provides the participants with the opportunity to interact with a professional in the participant's field of interest. The mentor will provide overviews of salaries, career ladders, skill requirements, and educational guidance. The program goal is to match every Opportunity Junction graduate with a professional who will help them focus their skills, expand their interests, encourage growth and build their confidence.

Opportunity Junction mentors will be asked to meet at least once a month with their protégé. The mentors are also asked to maintain weekly phone/e-mail contact in order to build a positive rapport with their protégé and to provide as much insight as possible on the protégé's field of interest.

Opportunity Junction alumni who are interested in joining the Mentor Program should contact Manager of Professional Development Michelle Stewart by email or by calling (925) 776-1133.
