Graduates of the training program, as soon as they are employed as interns, are introduced to Career Club.
In the Career Club, participants receive the tools needed to enhance their job search, including:
- Personal Self-Analysis: Participants are asked to reflect and ask themselves what their career and life values are. Making a list of these values helps participants assess their career options.
- Career Interest Assessment: The first step in helping the participants plan out their long-term goals is to have them complete an interest assessment, which is used in determining the right career track.
Shortly after the first steps are completed, participants initiate job search projects covering such topics as:
1. Interviewing skills;
2. Networking skills;
3. Cover letters and resumes for potential employers;
4. Salary negotiation; and
5. Job fairs and interviews.
Career Club members' job fair and interviewing experiences are shared at weekly office meetings, where everyone is encouraged to ask questions.
