Opportunity Junction offers free classes to help you personally and professionally. These classes are not designed to lead to employment.

Our classes are currently being offered online only, via Zoom.

  • Google Sheets 2: October 15 through December 10
      Buidling Confidence with Advanced Spreadsheet Skills!
    • Classes: Mondays & Thursdays | 7:30–9:00 PM
    • Course Length: 16 Sessions! 
    • Certificate in Google Sheets 1 or Instructor's permission
    • Take your Google Sheets skills to the next level! Google Sheets 2 builds on Google Sheets 1 and introduces advanced tools for organizing information, working with data, and collaborating more effectively at work, home or for personal projects.
    • Learn. Create. Collaborate! Build practical google Sheets skills as you learn to share and edit files with multiple users, manage file versions, use reference formulas and functions, work with Autofill, apply conditional formatiing, add notes and comments, plus format and print professional spreadsheets.
    • Prerequisites:
    • Certificate in Google Sheets 1 or Instructor's permission
    • Basic computer sills required: Ability to open files, navigate, and manage windows
    • Use a keyboard 
    • Requirements:
    • Must have a Gmail account and register for the class using that account
    • Device with a minimum 15-inch screen (measured diagonally) — required for vieweing and screen sharing
    • Cameras must remain ON during classes

  • Artificial Intelligence Basics: October 26 through November 11  
    • Classes held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 -7:30 pm.    
    • Artificial Intelligence Basics is a meticulously designed course with the objective of enhancing your comprehension and utilization of AI. Upon completion, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of AI, learn about CHATGPT, learn how to use CHATGPT as well as the various types of AI.                                   
    • Join us in this captivating educational odyssey and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence!
    • Prerequisites: 
    • You, your computer, and the Internet, along with your desire for knowledge! 
    • Requirement:
    • Camera must be kept ON during classes.

A Zoom link will be emailed to participants.
Before the first class, participants will be required to have:
  • A high-speed internet provider. Comcast or equivalent.
  • To participate in our online classes, you must have Zoom installed. It’s free and easy to set up.
  • A working web camera and microphone. 
  • Participants are required to keep their CAMERAS ON during the online sessions.
  • For Google Sheets, participants must have a Gmail account and a device with a minimum of 15-inch screen size and internet access. No software installation is required.
  • For PowerPoint Basics and Word Basics classes, a computer with MS Powerpoint and MS Word 2019 or later installed.

    If you want to attend multiple classes, sign up separately for each class you want.
  • Then "sign" our CDBG form that will be emailed to you via DocuSign, (learn more about DocuSign here).
  • To keep your place, you must be on time for the first session of the class.

Free Typing Test

We are offering free typing tests online. If you are interested, sign up here, and select Typing Test as the class. Nadya will reach out to you to schedule the test and send you the required CDBG form, which can be signed electronically via DocuSign prior to taking the test, (learn more about DocuSign here).
