Within the past few weeks we have been spoiled by generous corporate
volunteers from BBVA, Chevron, and Wells Fargo. Volunteers held mock interviews with
our Administrative Careers Training program interns, helping our interns gain real-life interview experience and providing individualized feedback.
This experience is invaluable since our interns are currently interviewing as part of their job searches.
The volunteer interviewers were highly impressed with our candidates: multiple volunteers mentioned that if they had any openings at their company, they would be eager to hire the interns they interviewed. The interns learned new skills and gained confidence through the process.
Last year alone, we were able to help employ 213 motivated low-income job seekers through our programs. We know that the mock-interviews put
on by our volunteers are a critical component to each participant's confidence and success.
