New Grants

Anonymous Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation: The Anonymous Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation issued an unrestricted grant to support Opportunity Junction's programs. The East Bay Community Foundation partners with donors, social movements, and the community to eliminate structural barriers, advance racial equity, and transform political, social, and economic outcomes for all who call the East Bay home.

Antioch Area Community Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation: Opportunity Junction was awarded a grant from the Antioch Area Community Fund at the East Bay Community Foundation. The Antioch Area Community Fund trustee also supports Opportunity Junction as a member of our Advisory Council, providing valuable counsel and input into our strategies.

Education Testing Services: ETS renewed its support for Opportunity Junction through a grant to help Road Map youth program participants with funding for books, equipment, uniforms, and other unmet financial needs. The mission of nonprofit ETS is to advance quality and equity in education for all people worldwide.

Impact 100 East Bay: Opportunity Junction received renewed funding from Impact 100 East Bay. The organization's mission is to unite women in the community in a common cause, collectively raising funds to support unmet needs in Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Each member makes an annual donation of $1,000, 100% of which is distributed in transformational grants.

John Muir Health Community Health Fund : John Muir Health Community Health Fund provided emergency support for Opportunity Junction's Healthcare Career Pathways certified nursing assistant trainees from their COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund. The Community Health Fund distributes grants and partners with community-based, nonprofit organizations to create sustainable health initiatives that expand and enhance health care services for those who need them most in central and east Contra Costa County.

Justice, Justice Foundation: The local Justice, Justice Foundation awarded a grant of critically needed unrestricted support, allowing flexibility to use the grant where most needed. No website.

Travis Credit Union: Travis Credit Union provided Opportunity Junction a grant as part of their COVID-19 relief initiative. This funding comes as part of their $1 million philanthropic initiative to relieve both immediate public health and long-term economic challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Strive for Change Foundation: The Strive for Change Foundation renewed its support for our programs helping the working poor in Contra Costa County achieve economic self-sufficiency. The foundation seeks to help overcome poverty in Alameda and Contra Costa counties by supporting job training programs.

Wells Fargo Foundation: Wells Fargo awarded Opportunity Junction a grant for general operating support. The Wells Fargo Foundation is dedicated to improving housing affordability, financial health, and small business growth.
